| Hey guys those of you who have one of these what wood color would you suggest and why is vector taking so long on their orders? |
The blonde wood is nicely done from Vector, from everything I read on kit availability they arent nearly as easy to come by now as they have been in the past, and Vector uses good kits, they dont install junk on their builds. They build a really nice AK, quality is top notch, and the price and warranty is hard to beat. Supply and demand hard at work, lots of people buying or wanting to buy one, less of them available. |
Vector is really busy. Did you order directly from them, or through a stocking dealer? Dealers usually have guns in stock, ready to ship. Factory direct usually means a longer wait, no matter who it is. ETA: I have a blonde wood Vector, and it's some nice furniture, but I find that I like the darker finishes a bit more now. |
| If you really want one, I'd find a stocking dealer and get it. I can't imagine the waiting time will get any shorter this year in particular, and could well double or worse as we get closer to the election. I think the rep from Atlantic firearms recently posted a 3 week wait on Vectors IIRC. Thats not so bad if you want to order one, might call them and see where they are at on stock or availablity. |
