After 200 rounds through my AK....should I even clean it or leave it alone. I am used to the AR's which require about 450 hours to cleaning per every 30 rounds...

Can an AK go a thousand rounds or more without cleaning? Absolutely...!!! But "all" weapons should be cleaned after a day at the range to run at optimum effeciency and accuracy. Many might agree that the 1st cleaning is the most important, just like the 1st oil change on a new car. |
| I would clean it. Aks can go and go without cleaning. This doesn't mean you shouldn't clean them. I clean mine every time I shoot. It is nice to know in a SHTF situation that you can go for a while without cleaning. That is the only situation where I wouldn't clean mine. |
