what should a guy look for in an AK74? I would like the newer the better, can you get new unfired, or should a I look into a parts kit?

what to look for or look out for? any make ie; yugo, polish ect..

can you get drum mags for a 74?

is ammo more pleantiful for the 74 or the 47?

thanks for the help

Surp 545 is now a great deal, but only 762 is at the corner sports store. No drums. I've seen Bulgarian and Polish 545 guns shoot 2" groups vs the 2.5" best for Romanian. Romy QC is dfl in the AK world most of the time, so handpicks and trusty vendors are needed on that 'bargain' route. Most Bulgy/Pole guns are from like-new parts kits.

I like ORF's 74.  I own 2 and plan on a 3rd.
no drums
ammo is cheap an their is still alot of surplus that has yet to be imported.
BTW aim and century are your best bets for 5.45x39
