Today I noticed that the flash hider on my Polish AK was loose, I took it off, put some loctite on it and screwed it back on. However the detent that holds the FH in place doesn't line up with the way that it sits now, does the detent need to be in the slot of the FH? I tightened it as tight as I could get it but I've ran out of thread so it won't spin all of the way around to get back to the detent.

Here's the FH in question and this pic was taken when I first bought the rifle.

By the way.....that's a recoil reducing AK-74 muzzle brake.....not a flash hider.

slightly loose is normal, the detent goes in yhe notch of the brake.  you can file the back portion of the brake to tighten up the fit.

Forgive me since I'm still an AK newb

...but it was on there hand tight when I noticed that it was loose, I'll back it off a little and put it back in the notch.
