is it because they are skinnier than the double stacks?
What if you tac welded some centering pieces of metal on both sides? Do you think that the bolt would strip the round out?

Uh, why go to all the hassle when You could just buy a 10 round Double Stack 5.45 magazine that would work right out of the box?

They are scarce. You will have to watch the Equipment Exchange or post in the Want-to-buy portion of the EE. They came in with the SAR-2's back in the day. I have a few that I use for bench shooting.
