| I work away from home most of the time and today wihile browsing in a local gunshop, I came across a Mak-90 for the sum of 289.99. Looked to be in possibly unfired condition, so I put it on layaway! Can't wait to shoot it! |
| Update: Went back and got it. Gun has been fired, but very little. All matching with sling and 30 rd. Chinese mag new in the unopened plastic bag. Now the bad? news; it's a slant cut receiver. Store personnel refused to let me take stock off or field strip gun. From what I was told, former "military guy who used to take guns apart and put 'em back together" was in store and cut himself badly while showing off his "skills". So I couldn't hold too much against them, guess everyone's afraid of liability issues these days. Anyway, I don't feel too disappointed about the receiver cuz I'm gonna shoot the shit out of it and try to find some Ironwood furniture for it....Dave |
| Got a few minutes range time yesterday (Sat.) and pulled off about 85 rds. No FTE's, FTF's, no hiccups, just did what an AK is supposed to; go bang every time. took a little time to "aim" at the sight-in target and produced respectable grouping with a hot barrel. Funny how the slant-cut is getting less important to me, huh?....Dave |
