so, I am thinking about an AK to round off my 'collection.' Problem is I feel cramped on an AK unless it is a NATO length Kvar stock and if I get an AK it's got to be a folder! I want an AK because of the compactness, but I do want it to be comfy to plink and practice with.

I really like the design of the Rommy wire folder, but I still feel cramped. How are the AMD 65 folders?

I don't want an underfolder because then I can't use a side mount scope rail, it limits my options.
Plus, I've had underfolders in the past and they just aren't for me.

So, what country had the best side folder for a long armed fella?
I'm 6 feet 1 inch btw...

You can add pads to shorter wire folders and fixed stocks. You can also see riflestocks.com and select a length. My 34" sleeves have adjusted just fine to the Warsaw length and a fatter pg upgrade fwiw.

Arsenal SAM-7 SF's have a right side folder that's very similar to NATO length...definitely longer than Warsaw pact stocks.  Problem is there aren't many out there and they're running for $1300 when you can find them.  Might be just what you're looking for though if you don't mind spending the coinage.

Personally, I think the AK-100 sidefolders are the absolute best. Tight lock up with no play... right length.  I personally like em short. It is much easier to add a butt-pad to a rifle then to cut off parts of the stock if it is too long.

I'm leaning towards an ACE, will they work with a bulgarian slr95 milled?
