Aimpoint Mount? > Optics & Accessories

What's your choice for an aimpoint mount that attaches to a BP-02 side rail mount? I tried a QRP that will not fit. Any suggestions? Thanks!

The wide/low 30mm ring. Anything else jacks it up higher than needed.

Or 2 narrow, off brand 30mm rings.

What did nto fit?

The part of the QRP mount that did not fit was the cross bar on the under side of the mount that fits into the rail slots. The cross bar is too wide?? I tried to remove and maybe dremel but couldn't drift the pin out. Should I just scrap this mount and get a different one? Thanks!

The BP-02 is a Weaver rail, right? The QRP is for a Picatinny rail. I think there's a QRW for Weaver rails. The cross bolt on mounts for a Picatinny rail will be wider than the slot on a Weaver rail.

Choose where you want the mount to be fore/aft, note the cross bolt location, file the gap wider at that spot. I did that for mine.

Choose where you want the mount to be fore/aft, note the cross bolt location, file the gap wider at that spot. I did that for mine.

I thought about doing that but I was concerned about filing it with a hand file or dremel and not getting the slots filed correctly and possible making the scope line up off-line with the bore. How would you suggest filing so I don't screw it up?

Thanks, I've seen the mount and am debating ordering it from tantal. I just wanted to see the entire package before I do so.
