I need suggestions, I bought a Kobra red dot back in 2000 for my SAR-1, it zeroed and functioned great, it even survived a 4 foot drop onto the concrete floor at the range, I spent a year in the "Big Sandbox" and when I got back and went to the range it was a "NO-GO", I tried 2 different fresh batteries still nothing, I own a gun cabinet not a safe, my guess is the Gulf Coast humidity finally got to it, any suggestions other trashing it. Thanks. aircav.

Besides rocking the switch on/off a few times to freshen the contacts, take a pencil eraser to the battery contacts to gently scuff off any oxidation.

Hang a bell from it and use it as a fishing lure then buy an aimpoint. jj

Did you leave the battery in it all that time? Might have something to do with the problem.
