I just received a POSP 8x42D, but it only came with the Russian manual. Unlike my Avatar, I don't read Russian, so I was wondering if there is an english language manual available online. I saw the Tantal site had a translation of the SVD manual, but the translation was severely lacking in information.

TIA

Follow-up question: I found one manual on this website, but it was a little light in some areas.

I assume this scope adjusts similarly to the Kobra, in that you make adjustments with the turret, then loosen the two screws on top, and reset the silver drum to the correct setting. (Please correct me if I'm wrong).

Also - the reticle obviously moves with the adjustments. If the scope rail is way out of whack, does it mean that my aiming chevron could be waaaaay on the edge of the scope and that this is "normal"?

Chasing those setup can be fun since you may move feet instead of inches.

Between the drum outside, top knob, and the layer with the screw holes under the knob, you can get Lost chasing the setup. Paying attention to the position of the layer under the top knob seems to be key, and the other 2 portions are just for tracking your position once you get it set.

RS39: Your translation was about as useful as those made by the Norwegians, who first translated into Japanese before mangling it into english...

Moving the top knob and outer drum does not move the sighting. The layer under the top knob, to which you fasten the screws thru the top knob, moves the sighting.

Just spin to win baby!
