Have you noticed any wear in the rear trunning with the Mojo sight "slamming" down each time you fire the rifle? I polished the stud using 2000 grit sandpaper so that it was no longer "pointy". I did this to reduce the possibility of the metal wearing down the trunning (or at least digging a hole affecting elevation). Also, after a string of 7-8 mags the Mojo elevation stud back out all the way!!! I am now using Red Threadlocker but I would like to know what you are using to prevent the stud from walking. |

The bounce should exist on all AKs. In one of the vides posted on ARFCOM, it was a high speed stop motion video of a AK-47 being fired full auto. After each shot you can clearly see the stock sight bounce a little and fall back into position. If the Vepr sight does not bounce, then the stud keeps driving into the rear sight trunion removing the painted surface. My mojo did not come with any loctite and the aperture and elevation screws were coming out from all the vibration. Mojo sights does not know of such a problem but I at least alerted them. I find that the rear elevation screw is quite useless on the 7.62x39 series of rifles. I don't see any way of accurately adjusting it for battlesight zeroing other than finding a spot and leaving it there, and adjusting the front post for elevation. Even the Krebs sight is kind of optimistic for this caliber. The Microclick looks interesting as there may be enough of a positive stop to prevent the elevation stud from walking. |
