If you accept the 200yd limitations of 7.62x39, and use a hold under/on/over sight picture instead of having to move a slide, then the Mojo is for you. Or spend more money on a Krebs with the std slide instead of set screws. Soda straws and gun test the view just fine. I like em, but prefer cheap/tuff Russian optics.

I also have this windage adj RPK aperture sight for a winter project...

well it's the 5.45x39 so I cna hit targets to 300yrd maybe.....but the problem for me is with the stock sight, i shoot with both eyes open so it's too much going on for me.

A) practice, as in keep it by the TV and spot targets at commercials

B) need fast target pickup or more accuracy? we can type you better form there

C) the Krebs peep tube vs the Mojo shell is good to frame the front post bracket both inside and outside your view for very natural centering, and I'm not joking about trying a piece of straw for the view

I have a Mojo on my Vepr K.

Here's the deal:

The elevation slide... it's useless. Do a battlesight zero and just forget about the elevation slide. Check the ballistics table and find a good zero setup.

The Mojo is windage adjustable, but my recommendation is to:

1). Install the Mojo sight, adjust the elevation stud so that it does not block the view of the aperture.
2). Take it to the range and attempt to zero the sights.
3). Adjust ONLY the front post for elevation, and the rear Mojo windage screw for windage.

When in the field, determine range to target and compensate accordingly. While you may have time on a range to slide the elevation mark accordingly, in a typical "tactical" situation or environment, you may not have the time to fumble around with the slide and need to return fire accordingly.

Doing a 25yd or 50yd zero should give you decent "hit what you aim at" performance of 7.62x39 up to about 150 yd.
