[ARCHIVED THREAD] - East Wave red dot question

Does anyone have any experience with either the PK 01BT or the PK 01AA? They caught my attention mostly because they use AA batteries and the other PK 01 models are supposed to be decent, but Google searches of these models only lead back to their East Wave descriptions.

The PK-01AA is an earlier version of the PK-A Venezuelan model. It is not available despite being listed. EW rarely updates their site. I have always been curious of the BT. It is just a PK-01 but with a different mount that looks like it keeps the optic to the left. I have yet to see anyone get one or post about it if they have.

If you're interested in the AA then you should look into getting the Venezuelan PK-A. Kalinka has them in stock:

The Venezuelan does look nice, but at $400 I'd probably just end up paying slightly more for something like an Obzor. If the BT is still available when I decide to buy a new optic, I might take a chance on it then post a review of it on here.

I asked Dmitry last year if they have either of these two models and he said they are out of production. Based on my experience with these optics I'm guessing they probably won't be back.
