Awesome, that looks great! Nice choice on the PST also, definitely one of my favorite optics of all time. Yeah, I'm a Vortex fanboy ever since I put their PST FFP 6-24 on my long range shooter. Quoted:
Thanks for posting this, I have been waiting for someone to produce a mount with integral rings to get a 1-4X this low for a long time. Looks like I can finally mount my MTAC and finish my .308 Saiga project when I get back to the world. Wpns Man No problem, bro. The mount is pretty burly and has some weight behind it, but I haven't found anything else that can get the cowitness that this one achieves with a 1-4. Be safe. |

Very nice rifle. How would the cheek weld be with the standard stock? I wish I could tell you, but the optics came after the collapsible stock. BUT the original stock had the same downward angle so I would assume the cheek weld would be pretty low just like any AK. Quoted:
is that a slr101? if so, explain your stock, did you cut off the two tangs? Yes, SLR101. I had to cut the bottom tang off as well as take some material off of the MI adapter. Normally, I don't like making permenant changes to the stock, but I'm eventually going with an ACE folder and the tangs will have to come off anyway. I'm not completely happy with the MI adapter. Like I said I had to take some material off for it to fit inside the rear of the reciever. The tube itself is also a little oversized. At first the stock was really tight and wouldn't fully collapse. It took some oil and elbow grease to get it working smooth. Quoted:
On 3-4x does the fsb ghost out? At 4x it's barely visible, but you really have to look for it to find it. At 3x it's about double as visible as 4x, but still pretty ghosted. This is all relative, and it's hard to exactly describe what I'm seeing. But IMO at higher magnification the FSB is not an issue at all. |
