Who makes the best rail for over the front and who makes the best one for over the dust cover?  Just wanted to get some options and not waste my time sorting through the lesser brands.

Rafaga, on the board here, is marketing his TC replacement  through Texas Weapon Systems.

Forends, it just depends on your budget & taste.
Midwest Industries seems to have the best rep, for a sub-$300 rail.  After them, you're stepping up to Krebs, Samson, maybe one or two others I can't think of at the moment.

I am not worried to much about the cost as i am the quality.  I prefer a real low-pro mount that does not interfere with the rear sight so it may just leave me with a front handguard option to deal with.  Any other ideas will be great or other brand options too!

TWS gen 2 top cover, and an Ultimak or Midwest Industries front end.

This is the one I am considering takes care of for-end and scope rail but its pricey considering that its a is a combo deal maybe its worth it.

Seriously considering it myself.  It is pricey, but the quality is supposedly very good and it will fit my needs well.

I can get it for $317 but I need to buy soon if I want it at that price.

But when will it be available?  I have thus far been unsuccessful at installing vaporware on any of my rifles.

You aren't wearing your 3D goggles, and you don't have 3 box tops for your decoder ring!

I just ordered one.  Hopefully it will arrive between Christmas and New Years and I can play with it while I'm off from work.

I installed the Mako/Fab Defense VFR-AK rail system last night and am very impressed with it.  Very well designed and incredibly solid on the rifle.  It does not clamp to the barrel, a design feature I really like.

I got it for $317, the cheapest price I found after a lot of shopping around.  It replaces my Ultimak/CAA LHV-47 lower handguard combo on my Romy G.

I have my TRS-25 MRD, Insight M3 light, Troy QD swivel base, and a Tapco stubby VFG installed on the VFR-AK.  I went with the Tapco VFG because it is short enough not to interfere with mag changes.

The VFR-AK is expensive, but very, very nice.  The quality and design are exceptional, I certainly have no regrets.
