I have been experimenting with the placement of my Micro dot on the UltiMAK gas tube rail and I have
determined that all the way forward is the very best location for my eyes. The further away from my eye
the Micro dot is the less 'looking through a tube' tunnel vision I experience. I also find the dot is much
easier for me to pick up and place on my target fast. Try it if you can.

I have wondered about this too. The only negative I could see is that it will get hotter in that postition. I will try mine this way the next time I make it to the range, thanks.

I had mine up there and the lens got really dirty after a few mags. I have the Ultimak with the holes in it like you.

I will see how fast mine gets dirty with & without my suppressor and adjust location as needed.
