[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Rear sight differences

I posted this question in the Larue forum also.

What are the physical differences between the standard and the Bulgarian rear sight that a two different AK irondots are warranted ? I have never looked hard enough at rear sights on AKs to see the difference in them, and am wondering what dimensions are different.

I could be wrong here, but I believe that the horizontal 'pins' (for lack of a better term) are a bit larger/heavier on the Bulgarian model. I tried putting a Bulgarian rear sight into a Romanian RSB once and the pin size was slightly larger than the Romanian.
