Sorry if you guys have already addressed this one before, but can 5.56 mags be persuaded to work in a 5.45 gun? If it can be made to fit in a receiver, but there are still feeding issues involving the wrong ammo in the mag, would replacing the follower help? And have you guys seen the ProMag 5.45 magazines, only one place is selling them www.bhigear.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=3239    I really like the waffle style, but they are all 7.62 and 5.56.

Ohio Rapid Fire has a good deal going on 5.45 mags, if that's what you need.

It's not that I need any more mags, I have at least one in every flavor, but I really want a clear waffle, in 5.45.

Well, the Bulgarian 5.56 waffles locked into my '74 perfectly. I never did try to get them to feed though.

The curvature of the mags is quite different so I wouldn't expect it to work. The followers are similar, but I've never compared them side-to-side.

You're correct about the curvarture.  But you still should be able to get 20 rds out of 30 possible....I was able to using them in a Yugo M90/95.
