Just got around to cleaning my last SG Mag order and found what appear to be four Egyptians three were unissued and one was fairly well used.  All three of the new ones have trouble w/ the follower.  It appears the followers are too large or missformed to go travel through the mag well.  I really hade to push on the scredriver to get the darn thing out of the mag body.  Anyone know any fixes or should I just complain and send them back to SG?

I don't think there is cosmo as the inside appears to be bare unfinished metal. I did try adding a generous amount of oil and one is working now but two seem sticky still.  Oh well guess I can't complain too much I did get a Slab Side that is in pretty good shape this order.  I will just have too play around w/ them some more later when I get the time.

Try swapping the followers around in different magazine bodies. This has worked for me in the past.

My best guess would be that it is full of cosmoline, damn near all the mags from SG that I received were fully covered inside and out

I agree. The Egyptian mags I got from my SG lotto bags were covered in even more cosmo than the rest and it was also of a much thicker/gooey consistency. I would do as others have said and give them another thorough cleaning. 3 out of every 4 Egyptian mags I received were brand spanking new.
