| Couldn't find where Ruger ever made an O.E.M. 30rd mag. Not any 20 or 30rd mags on Rugers web site. They only sell 5rd mags. After doing a google search for Ruger mini-30 - 30rd mags. Only show after market mag. Anywhere from $15.00 to $32.00. Do you know where I can get an original 30rd Ruger Mini-30 mag? Also these mags I have hold 32-7.62x39rds. But please get back with me. |
That is correct. Ruger never made a 30-rounder for the Mini-Thirty, and curtailed the sale of 20-rounders years ago, even before the "Assault weapon ban" was enacted, IIRC. Factory 20-round Mini-Thirty mags are therefore quite rare and will fetch a premium when they do come up for sale. The only aftermarket Ruger rifle mags worth a crap, IME, are from PMI. I'm not sure if they ever made mags for the Mini-Thirty, though, or just the Mini-14. The others (Western, National, Black Warrior, ProMag, Triple K) are hit-or-miss (mostly miss!) when it comes to quality and reliability. The mags put out by USA Magazines are only suitable for use as doorstops or range targets.  |
