I bought a bunch of Romainian's (like new) at $12.95 each plus shipping (see 11th listing on link below). They were like new, just had to clean the Cosmoline off, used Simple Green: Interordnance product list |
Simple Green and paper towels works great, then wipe down with silicon cloth the way you would a firearm. You could also use a light coat of CLP on the inside and spring if you plan on taking them apart. I initially just cleaned up the outside. Later on I opened them up to put in USA (FSE Mfg.) followers and floorplates for a 922R compliance issue for one of my AK's. Only one of ten had more than a very light coat of Cosmoline on the inside and spring.
