I have a 7.62x39 Bakelite mag made by Norinco. The sides are smooth, non-ribbed with a Norinco logo (a circle with upwards-pointing wedge and "Norinco" written across, making a 5-pointed star)
stamped on the lower portion of left side, and "66" stamped in a triangle on the right side. I bought it in a mag lot from a psycopath ten years ago. I know Bakelite mags for 7.62 are fairly rare and can fetch a pretty penny. Does anybody know the relative value and/or age of this mag?

It sounds lower than some of the prices I have heard in the past from other Bakelites (which hit the 100+ mark). Is ths because other Bakelites are rarer than these Norincos or is this generally what Bakelites are going for these days?

Russian bakelites are worth more. 45rd bakelites are worth more than that. I base my opinion on what I have/haven't seen Norinco bakelites sell for recently.

I saw one on gunbroker w/a starting bid of $50, and never got a bid.
I've seen them in the EE for $60-80, and never saw anyone noticably be interested in them.

YMMV

Thanks for the input. It seems like a sound asessment to me.

I recently bought three of these mags in the EE forum for a czech user, mint condition for about 45-50 dollars a piece...

The're fine magazines but not worth as much as say my bakelite Tula 30 rnder..
