[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Drum question

I just picked up a 75 Romanian drum. Anything special to load this up? Any special maintenance to make it last? Thanks for any assistance.

The only thing that I have read about drum mags is that you don't want to let them set for extended periods of time loaded. Sort of a load it up and shoot it down type of thing.

This is true except for the chinese drums. They can be left loaded without any spring tension.
