| I don't know about a milled receiver, but a stamped receiver has a short mag guide ramp on it at the front of the mag well. I never thought much about it, but it struck me the last time I was messing with one of my AKs that I never had used that ramp. So I deliberately tried to hit it with the front edge of the mag while moving the mag back to the well, and it really helps get a good fast insertion. Including on a few polymer mags that are a little 'funny' about locking in. |
