sorry for the general question but my dad just bought me a century arms  wasr ak for my birthday. been doin alot of research  on ammo and mags. what mags are good and what are good prices for them? i found some eastern euro steel surplus for 9.95 on aimsurplus but im not sure if those are good mags to begin with or the price is good. i know tapco is good for some and others say no. ime that goes with everything these days. i may pick up some cheap plastic mags for the range but i def want some good steel mags. that price seems to be decent compared to alot of other places ive went but i dont know of the quality. thanks for your time it means alot this this guy.

The "Euro" mags from AIM are good stuff, and $10 a pop is a great price.

Get some Euroo or chinese steel mags. They are indestructible.

$10 is a good price.

Every once in a while somebody has them for $8, but not often.

You can't go wrong buying mil-surp magazines from a reputable dealer.
The magazines will work unless they're dented badly or rusted. A reputable dealer probably won't sell such magazines and will replace them if a mistake happens.

Skip the tapco and plastic mags.
Any steel, foreign mag is 100%, and they can be had inexpensive from any reputable dealer.

edit to add- and oh, yeah, enjoy your AK !!

Be sure to tell your Dad thank you and buy atleast 10 of those Euro AK mags fom AIM, that makes them $8.95.  AIM has great customer service and usually the best price too.  Order a bunch of ammo while you're at it.  Tapco usually work if you want to get 1 or 2 to play with, but those smooth back steel AK mags are the best!
