I recently received 21 brand new 30 round steel magazines for $7.95 each thanks to the good folks at AIM Surplus. These magazines are brand new CHINESE magazines and are NOT ridge-backed. They are smooth-backed.

| On this forum, AIM has said they don't know where the mags are from. Said they got them via Yugoslavia with parts kits. "Could" be made in China that were sent to Yugoslavian stockpiles. Later sold out as surplus? Some call them "Chugos," as a result. Anyway, I've got about 14 of them and love them, will be selling out my surplus ridgebacks shortly as a result. |

Can someone point me to these? All I can find are the $9.95, or 10 or more for $8.95 http://www.aimsurplus.com/product.aspx?item=MAK47E30&name=Surplus+European+Steel+AK47+7.62x39+30rd+Magazines&groupid=15

I almost bought some but it said that MOST of them have metal followers. I would prefer metal followers and don't want to end up with plastic ones. Can you add notes at the end of the order specifying metal followers? I have bought over 50 of these (East Euros). I also bought 10 of the Bulgys that they are not carrying anymore. ALL the Bulgys had plastic followers. But they were high quality and I don't think the plastic followers would ever be a problem. Of the 50 Eastern European I have bought, NONE have had plastic followers. You may be able to request it but like I said, I have some of the plastic ones (Bulgys) and they have not caused any problems. They appear to be very strong plastic. edit...I'll have 64 when this order comes in... |
