Hi guys - Straight pull AR shooter here in UK.
I do a little work for a RFD ( like your FFL ) and found a couple of items in a shipment of 1968 AND 1969 dated AK47's which might be of interest to a collector. First is one orange / light brown bakelite / plastic 7.62 magazine. Black metal base. "15" on bottom of one side and a star logo on the other side. And here is the interesting bit, scratched into the magazine on one side is a pair of flowers and a dove. Also the following script - HET N with a horizontal arrow. Further script - MNPY MHP K3UC-83 - 15/v111 10/ix A Polish friend who speaks a little Russian says the last bit is dates - maybe of a tour of duty ? And the flowers / dove are a war protest from a conscript soldier possibly afghanistan era ? Done my best with the script but my keyboard does not support Russian language !! Second item is a brand new ( looks never used - leather bits are pristine ) AK bayonet. Again has the star logo on orange / light brown bakelite. It too has some scratched markings which look like name and unit designation maybe ? Have tried photographing these but my camera just does not pick up the scratched script etc. Are these worth anything to a collector ? Would put these on EBAY but believe it or not, UK residents are forbidden from selling knives or magazines !! Happy to post to USA. |
