I've never used a 75rd drum before. Once its loaded and the spring is cranked tight will I have to tighten the spring again after shooting off say 30-50 rounds?

Maybe. If you start having problems with the drum feeding, just crank the spring a few more times.

It should feed all 75 rounds and have some spring tension left over.
Try 5 turns or so to start. If you get FTFe, add some more tension.
