I see the mags seem to be selling for about $30 in the EE.  Is there any special value to brown mags?  Whats the difference between the (10) and (21)?

Thanks

different factories, otherwise same/same.

if you just want mags to use for actual shooting, don't worry about what the markings say.  get whatever 5.45x39 mags you want.

if you're a collector––well you wouldn't be asking if you were a collector; you'd already know.

To become a "collector", all one has to do is buy mags from two different sources or at two different times.
You can never get the same mag twice !

well then i guess I am a collector.  Should I keep my brown mag in a display case? or beat it up like the black ones?

The mag catch lug is thicker on the 21's than the 10's.  Thats the only difference that i could find.

so is $30 about the correct going price?  Should different colors, not plum, be at a higher price?

Yea $25-30 is the going price for them.  Way too high for me to stock up.  Barring some possible ban, it is almost certain more AK-74 mags will be imported.  Once that happens, they will come back down to reasonable prices.  Until then, I will wait...
