After over a year of fishing this dude finally found a sucker for this EG bakelite mag. I sent him a link to this forum in Jan 08 and advised him his "Ugly Russian Mag" was actually an "Ugly EGerman Mag". Seller never responded and never changed his auction. Now some poor sucker is paying over 65bucks for an EG bakelite. It is correct when they say "Theres One Born Every Minute"

Kind of sad but honestly, if you don't do your homework in this hobby you'll pay. Can't feel too sorry for him - he should've checked around first.

I loved his sales pitch. Sounds like a used car salesman.

Wait till the buyer figures out it isn't a Russian mag.

I told the seller ages ago that his mag was an EG Bakelite, but he refused to admit it. Obviously, he's one of those dishonest GB sellers that you want to avoid and spread the word about.

A big +1...........Gunbroker won't let you contact anyone unless your part of the auction. I was going to try to warn the buyer. Just can't in good conscience see someone piss away cash like that. Oh Well!! I tried.....

I had him send me pics of the mag. First he only sent me a pic of right side. I emailed him again and he sent me a pic of the right side. No arsenal marks or signs of sanitized marks. I feel like emailing him back and telling him "the east german mags only sell for 20-30 period" but that won't do any good. Looks like another sucker has a bid on it.

I notified the seller back in Jan 08 (After Rec Pics) of what he had, and how much it was worth. I then gave him a link to this forum so he could educate himself. Never heard from him again, and he never changed his auction. Looks like at least one other person from above did the same thing. I am getting my bag of popcorn out for this auctionLINK Must be too much lead in the drinking water in some parts of our country

the beauty of capitalism is that you can ask whatever you want for something. the item is worth what its worth to the buyer...the failure of communism is in greed. lying and misinformation is taking advantage of those that dont know any better and trust that what the seller is presenting is indeed true

Wile your statement is true, doesn't apply in the first auction. If you sell a fiero and tell a blind man it's a Ferrari, thats called fraud. Not capitalizm. Your statement does apply to the second auction. Though I can't believe anybody would be stupid enough to lay 200 clams on something that (Just A Few Lines Down) cost only 80 bucks. But we shall see
