| Well, I finally got my first case of Wolf Military Classic JHP from Sportsman's Guide, 16.9 cents ea. delivered to my door (club price + coupon). Good-looking stuff. Now the evil 7.62x39 side of my ammo vault is bigger than the 5.56 side, so I guess I have to try to find some decent .223. The Wolf packaging is excellent, 500 rounds in a sealed plastic wrap (almost like a clear 'battle pack'), so if you don't have ammo cans to put it in, you could just leave the two 500 round packs unopened in the box for long-term storage at the back of a closet. By 'finally' I mean the first time I ordered it was backordered. I left the order active, and on the predicted availability date I checked the site, which stated it was 'in stock', but they still didn't ship mine. I cancelled the order, re-ordered, and it shipped the next day. Sometimes you just have to 'play' the system a little. |
