can anyone direct me to a source for components to reload for my starving AK's and SKS's! I am mainly talking about a source for properly sized bullets in bulk.

Cannot comment on their quality cause I do not reload that caliber but you might try Golden West bullets.com. Then let all of us know how it goes.

great bullets!

Wideners might have some CCI military large rifle primers left, perfect for 762x39, says so on the label

Try AA1680 commercial powder,  or WC680 equivalent from gibrass.com

Brass you have scrounge, fight, beg for.  Not too much reloadable 762x39 brass in quanity.  New brass is 20 cents a pop ($20/100), might get lucky on ebay, I did for 6,000 pieces

Thanks for the leads fellas. I found out right away brass was going to be the hard part so I am in the process of "scrounging" and I am going to order a batch of 2000 bullets from Golden West to give them a try.  Just figured with this ammo "problem" I may as well get set up to load for my Ak and SKS. Heck, I load for umpteen calibers already, one more won't be a big deal.  If I can get brass to last for 3 or 4 loadings I will be a happy camper.
