I have found Wolf ammo at Cabelas in an old catalog for cheap prices. The numbers are still good unlike SPG. 122 gr. HP # HF-21-5188-056 @ 94.99; 122 gr FMJ # [email protected]
154 gr SP # HF-21-5187-058 @ 99.99 All Prices per 1K They are all backordered but at this price I can Wait!!!! |
The numbers are good but its still on backorder
ETA, next time I should read the whole post |
Dont know about you guys, but a couple of weeks ago i bought 2000 Wolf FMJ from SPG for 90 each thousand. Come to think about it they still have them for that price. They also have a coupon for 15 off 150 or 10 off 100, which brings the price down further. Too bad they wreck you on shipping.
Jeez..Wasn't it just a few weeks ago Cabela's had Wolf on special @$79.99 1000.
I wish I had got more. |
I just bought 1000 rds with this number @ $95. On the order page it said it was backordered, but in my email confirmation, it said it was in stock and shipping soon.
I also ordered 1500 rds from Cabelas @ $45 per case, and they said it's going to ship in a day or so. |
Ordered 2000 rounds with this number last week, called them today and they said my back order is shipping out today or tomorrow. With shipping & handling each case came out to be $107. Sadly thats the best price Ive found lately.... One store basically laughed at me when I asked about it and quoted me $180 a case. I remember not even 2 years ago getting cases for $69.99 at shows... I hope this spike goes away soon.

Got a link? |
Yea, I have no clue what that means either! |

and by the way, you all are damn lucky i'm a nice guy hat
Thanks man! |
When you add it to the cart at sportsmansguide, it then says it's out of stock, and not expected till MAY 06.

Just ordered 3000 rounds from cabelas at $99 per 1000, how long do they usually take to turn around their backordered items? Hopefully faster than may....
What part number did you use? I can only find it for $124.99 in the two dry cans.
Any Kansans need some 7.62, I'll sell it for what I have in it ($55 per 500). I have 1500 or 1800 rds on hand. You have to come to Topeka to get it though.

2K at $94.99 per! Should be in on the 20th. I can wait , I think.
I ordered 2K this evening. I hope mine comes in on the 20th too. Did you ask their customer service folks when it'd ship? They were closed when I called. |
Does anyone know if the stores will honor this price? I may have to try tomorrow afternoon...
I order 2k w/ part# HF-21-5189-054 and they have given me three different ship dates and have missed every date. I called this morning and the due date has now been changed to "unkown." I have a show to go to this weekend, we will see how the prices are, or if they even have any.

Wolf® Bulk 7.62 X 39 Ammunition - 122-Grain FMJ
Item number: HF - 215189 Reg: $124.99 Sale: $94.99 I just ordered 1K. Thanks for the heads up. ETA I just figured out that this ammo comes bulk in a dry box. That is a big bonus since I load it all up as soon as I get it, and now I won't have to frig around opening and disposing of boxes, plus I get a dry box! |
i put one on backorder, and they come with 2 dry boxes
and the last order i got from them came with the dry boxes seprate and the ammo in the cardboard. |
Any idea what shipping costs have been running?
Anyone with direct experiance in the Washington/Oregon/Idaho/Montana/Cali areas???? |
I am beginning to think their customer service has NO CLUE when this stuff is coming in. Ive called every single day and have got different answers each time. I think them shipping it out tomorrow is a huge pipe dream. The answer i got today was it should be here mid month....we'll see.
They charged my debit card today. Do you think that means they have it in stock? Most places won't charge your card until they have the goods in hand. What do you think?
I just got an email today from them. They "expect the shipment in a week or 2".
ITS COMEING IN BUT AT THE NEW PRICE. I SPOKE TO HEAD OF DISTRIBUTION ." PRICES ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE WITH OUT NOTICE AND WE HAVE THE RIGHT TO LIMET QUANTITIES" THEY ARE NOT SHURE OF NEW PRICE . READ THE FINE PRINT IN THE CATALOG.
I just called Cabela's customer service because they charged my card but I hadn't received an email telling me that it was on it's way. They told me that UPS has it scheduled for delivery today!!! |
Hmph! Bastages. |
i just called and the guy said he was expecting a shipment in today!!! so i went ahead and ordered a thousand.
the bad news $124.99/thousand. + shipping. i guess i'll just have to "bite the bullet" and get used to paying more for my 7.62. |
It looks like I got in on that deal just before they raised the price. I paid $95/1,000 less than a week ago. |
Be very careful when ordering from sportsmanguide.com. My great-nephew ordered from them last week. The price in the order was $95 for 1k of 7.62x39 Wolf, but they charged his credit card $129.97 plus shipping for it. Are there any honest places you can buy ammo at a good price? He's been screwed over by ammunitionstore.com, ammoman.com(twice!), and now sportsmanguide.com. I try to introduce new people to the sport, but all of the dishonest vendors too often make it a bad experience for them.z |
try cabella's and use the old item number listed on the forums here. i got an email today that said that my order had shipped for my 7.62x39. the price billed to my credit card was 94.99/1000 rounds plus shipping.
I checked the old item number and the price is now $125. |
I was AT Cabela's on Thursday. I ordered 2 dry boxes at the $64.99 price. The guy at the gun dept. was looking on his computer said it wasn't at their distribution wharehouse. The estimated delivery to the store was mid to late March. That is what I was told. I personally no nothing.
Does anyone know if you can order this stuff at the store and have it sent to the store, that way avoiding shipping costs?
OH GREAT!!! I have an order of 7.62 on backorder with Sportsmanguide.com and they assured me the price at the time I placed my order would be honored. I guess we'll see soon enough. I recently went through a bunch of B.S. to get a refund from Ammunitionstore.com and just today was delivered a box of $45 dollar hunk of junk from Gunsmokeenterprises.com. Im on a losing streak with online gun dealers and the problem is my local vendors aren't much better! |
That's real simple,. If you have an email or printed of a receipt when you placed your order you have proof that you ordered it at the lesser price. IF SG tries to raise the price you call your CC company and contest the charge.
Far as I'm concerned SG can either 1. honor the price of the original order OR 2. send a call tag and refund ALL my money including shipping both ways. CC companies are your friend in this case...... All that said I've had similar situations from SG in the past and have never had any problem with them raising the price....... |
He forwarded an e-mail he received from Linda Marie there. They're not going to honor the price, and she also claimed that that item has not been on sale since 2004. Why does this business attract so many dishonest vendors?z |
So my 2000 rounds at the $94.99 each shipped out on riday and I recieved it yesterday, and to my surprise I got 4 of the dry storage boxs also. I wasnt expecting the $94.99 price to include the boxs.
They are nice to have but MAN are they over kill. Just one of these things hold 1500 rounds, and they send you one with every 500 rounds. Cant really complain about free stuff though. |
