| Recently purchased a 180 rd range pack of Century's Red army standard 7.62x39mm from wideners I believe. Shot it out of two different AK's. The resulting groups were less than stellar. I know a lot of it could be the shooter, but for the price I would have hoped it would have been better. Was hopeing others would share their experiences with this ammo. |

It's just standard Romanian factory ammo with nicer packaging & better marketing. I have found Romanian to be less accurate than Russian in both 7.62x39 and 5.45mm. So your experience is not surprising, just disappointing considering the price point. Kinda typical P.T. Barnum puffery accompanied the introduction of this stuff. Lotta folks got excited looking at the cool adverts, Century Arms hyperbole strikes again. |

Someone posted a pic @ gunboards.com of the Red Army Standard 7.62x39 ammo they bought and the box says "Made in Ukraine". I thought it was supposed to be coming from Romania too. Weird, my rep said Romania. 'Spose that doesn't mean much though. Gotta give Century credit for one thing, they sure know how to scrounge up the goods. |
