So there I was, cleaning my new ORF/Bulgie, and decided it wouldn't hurt to ream out the barrel gas hole under the gas tube neck. Grabbed my trusty Polytech gas port cleaning gizmo and had at it. Imagine my surprise when, due to the right-angle design of the Bulgarian gas neck, the tool would not make contact with the gas port. Even a three pound mallet failed to get the cleaning tool in there.

Do I need a different tool or just a four pound mallet?

Thanks in advance.

Put down the mallet before you damage your rifle.

I hope you are joking.

There is no tool for the 90 degree gas port. Gas pressure keeps it clean.  Put a little shooters choice down it if you must but no tools required.

Thanks for the info, HM.

And yes, I was just kidding about the mallet.
