I have just shot my Romianian rifles with the Romanian AK-74 style breaks attached.  My question is how do you clean the build up inside the break and at the muzzle?  This build up is pretty heavy after only one shooting session.  What is the best way to clean this?  Brush, soaking etc...

I really don't like to leave powder residue on my rifles, any help is appreciated.

unscrew the brake and soak it a can of hoppes, atf, brake cleaner, carb cleaner or sovent of choice. after 15 minutes of soaking, a 12 gauge brush does a nice job of removing the crud and fouling.

pipe clener the ports with the copper wire bristle pipe cleaners.

btw, how did the sights line up?

Thanks Campy, I thought it would be something like that but wanted to be sure first.

The sights were just fine. Better than when i bought them acctually.  Very accurate, and I was able to stay on target in rapid fire so easily  it was creepy.
Only problem was improperly installed sheperd hook.  Later that night my dad and I were able to come up with a way to install them the in the proper military fashion that was so simple we installed 4 RSA trigger groups for him, and reinstalled two of mine in only 20 minutes!
