Is there a trick to install the pistol grip. I ordered the screw and insert. I ended up opening the hole the insert goes into to get it to angle. But even that wasn't enough to keep it from screwing up the threads on the screw. I ended up using threaded rod at the moment. yea, just happened to have 6mm threaded rodhing.

I did try to seat the insert, the threads in it are fine. I contacted copes both in writing and a phone call. Left a message. They have not gotton back with me at all. I just wanted to buy a new one. Kinda ticks me off. I could understand if I reefed on the screw and it screwed the threads up. But I didn't. Its not even that I would want them to warrente the screw. I guess I will have to order the screw from a fastener maker. Oh well.

well if the screw has been used then it has been staked on the back side to keep it tight

file or grind the threads down on the first 3/16 in or so of the screw and that should help with your probs

I've called copes and left messages.  I don't think they return calls but they always respond.  whats the saying...actions are louder than words...
