I recently picked up two Romanian AK kits and was thinking about finishing them by completing my own receiver from a blank.

My first question is about the 1.0 and 1.6 mm receivers. What does this dimension refer to? Does it matter which I use? Are there other types I should be considering?

Next question is about DCI/NDS. I have seen these terms on another post referencing receivers, but have no idea what they mean.

Thanks...

1.0 mm 1.6 mm are the thickness of the reciver material it self.S

80% receivers 2 types. The  already bent with a template to
cut along the dotted line the flats which have all the holes done but need bending.

There are 3 companies I can recall  that make 100% recivers.
Nodac,,Global/Armoury and Ohio ordnance.

Since you have a Romy kit...Just get a regular 100%  reciver.

have fun

Or the NDS-1. In my opinion the NDS-1 is slightly more refined, but it's more work to build (you have to drill the trunnion holes).
