I am working on my second Romy G build. The first one I used the freeze fit method and a plastic dead blow hammer to install the barrel, and it worked like a charm.Started to install barrel number two and it went in about 3/8 of an inch and stopped dead.Wouldnt budge. Now I pressed the barrels out with an arbor press at the shop where I work, but I am on vacation this week and didnt want to go in and press this together. What to do? Having read about using all thread on this board, I went over to the local Lowes and bought a piece of 1/4" threaded rod,a bag of washers and some 1/4-20 nuts. I used a larger diameter washer I had kicking around sandwiched between two 1/4" ones in the trunnion end.I used 3 washers at the muzzle for protection of the threads. I started tightening this down with a 7/16 box end wrench, and it popped that barrel in slicker than anything. Just thought I would pass on my experience with this method for anyone who hasnt tried it. It really works and is simple and easy.

I have done this on several of my  builds.  Works great as I do not have a press.  I also used all thread on my ak74.  It was smaller diameter and I broke a couple but with the assistance of the hammer/all thread it worked.
