[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Barrel pin

I may have missed it in a "sticky" thread. I pressed mine out a whilllleeeee ago. Which way does it go back in? From the left or right? Shoul;d finally finish it this weekend. Got the barrel back in with the receiver sitting on a 2x4, peenies taped over the muzzle, and a 20 oz. framing hammer. Went in fairly smoothly. I will post pics as soon as it is finished.

CMIIW but only the barrel pin is tapered, so just put the "thin" side in first. calipers? as fare as right to left / left to right :

holding the rifle like you are going to shoot it, looking down the sights, start the pin (thin side first) on the right side.

www.K-var.com also has barrel pins. There are instructions on barrel pin removal just check the first forums listed.
