any clues on where to find 1100 degree silver solder?  the "helpful" personnel at lowes, home depot, and harbor freight had no clue what i was asking for.  having never seen it before, my guess is this is more like a brazing rod than the soft silver solder that radio shack sells.  info appreciated.

Try your local welding supply. AirGas or whatever welding supply you have in your area. You may have to buy more than you need. You may be able to get a smaller amount from a local welder or welding shop.
