[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Anxious to get started

I have a Yugo m92 virgin kit but no receiver yet .Is there anything I can do to get started till my receiver gets here?

you can headspace it and install the barrel parts

it takes alittle longer but if its your first virgen kit its not to bad of an idea to headspace without a rec installed

How do you head space without the receiver?

All you need is a front trunnion, barrel, stripped bolt, and headspace guages.

Still not tracking youall? Isn't the barrels location in the trunnion, the bolt, and it's location to the breech/chamber determine the headspace?

headspace has nothing to do with the rec

put simply its the location of the barrel in the trunnion

So you all are saying that you could push the barrel into the trunnion and then putting the bolt into the trunnion with the GO gauge and if it works trying the same with the no-GO, making sure that it does not? If that does not check out, move the barrel in or out of the trunnion to get those to work? Re-drill (or in the case of the virgin barrel drill) the barrle pin hole.
