1. Anyone know how the safety lever spring is supposed to be routed on theese things?? Its definately not the same as my Yugo UF. 2. The bolt carrier hits against the hammer and will not slide past it when trying to slide it on the rails.....it does this with the hammer in both the cocked and fired positions.......Im just about ready to throw this hunk of chit in the dumpster.. |
Sounds like your FCG is having interferance problems... IIRC, on my normal romy AK, the bolt hits the hammer in the 'cocked' position and pushes it down as it rides over the top... Check your FCG to see if something is binding against the other parts... If you seriously get fed up and don't want it anymore - don't trash it, I'll gladly take it off your hands... |

Sorry but there is no "safety lever spring", the safety is just like a Romanian AKM. Like asked before, what receiver are you using? Dave is right about the bolt pushing the hammer down as it cycles. Make sure the hammer is in the cocked position, the bolt does slide hard over the hammer when installing it. You may have to push the hammer down a little further to get the bolt to start over it. And yes a pic of the internals would help to answer your problems. If this thing is getting on your nerves, set it a side until you get the info to fix your problem, these are nice rifles. |

Its a TG 100% rec. and has been a total nightmare. There is absolutley nothing 100% about it, I have had to grind/ bend/ hammer, drill or otherwise alter almost every single part of it to get it to work. Ive given up on the spring and am just going to use E clips to hold the pins in place. The hammer seems to be too high in the cocked position, I have to push down on the bolt carrier (which is pushing down on the hammer) just to get it ino the slots on the upper rails. Then I have to push/shake and shove the carrier foreward to get it to go over the hammer. When I put the spring back on and pull the bolt carrier back to cycle it, it hangs up on the hammer again. |

OK so it's the spring for the hammer and trigger pins, yes they can be a bitch, just use e-clips if your having that much trouble. I also have one of those "Made in Romania from TG" receivers. And I didn't have that much trouble with mine. Yes you will have to push down on the carrier while pushing it forward over the hammer. Did you make sure the bolt carrier moved freely on the rails before installing the FCG? If you didn't take the hammer back out and make sure it does, I had to file a few thousands off my rails to get it to move freely. And when you do get it all together and fire it don't get pissed if the bolt hangs back once and a while at first, mine did this until I put about 50 rnds through it, now it works like it's supose to. Take your time. |
| I could write a novel on the things that were wrong with this rec. I would have sent it back in a heartbeat if it wasnt for having to pay transfer fees again. Ive gotten 99% of it worked out now and I think after some filing I can get past my carrier hangup problem. |

I was gunna say that, but he should have that right. The first thing I do when I have a cycling issue is remove the FCG and try cycling the bolt carrier without the bolt. That working properly add the bolt and try that. Then add the hammer. Unfortunately I learned this the hard way. Hope this helps. |
