| OK will try the beld sander, but I m gonna have to remove almost all the material it looks like maybe paper thin, tried to install with 1 piece of masking tapa and that scrapes the bottome of the receiver,if I take too much off, I can just dremel it the rest of the way off till it fits...........call me Hack Gunsmith on this one |
a flat as mentioned above, but I also tried it in a OOW receiver I had laying around, thats actually what in the pic, and the height is still way off..........what rear trunion, a trunion installs a barrel to the receiver, there is no such thing as a rear trunion !!! today I used a 1 inch belt sander and removed about 1/2 the material on the underside of the bottom spring thing, it still will not fit, I will still have to remove after a test fit to correctly allign and measure to drill the rear holes, so pounding it in is not going to be an option if you look at the first pic the actual bottom of the folder ( the part that will eventually be inside the receiver ) what about removing some material from there to let the spring deal sit a little higher, I am worried that the spring tension might be affected and the button for the folder will get messed up |
ok if you install the rear TANG ( its not a trunion as stated before ) first, this would mean you have to drive out the 2 little pins holding the TANG to the floder....right......then tell me ...if it dosent fit even close now how are you going to wedge the folder in place and still be able to re-install the 2 pins from the tang into the folder |
