I did some for my SAR3. The process is probably pretty similar for your Saiga. The main thing is to remove the ridges on the sides of the mag. I used a belt sander and it worked really well. Then you'll need to angle off the rear of the mag. With the top cover and bolt removed, rotate the magazine in and note where the back end hits a crosspin. Slowly remove material from the mag until it is able to lock into place. Sorry I don't have pics right now!

Sorry I didn't read your post carefully enough - I didn't make any sort of bullet guide. This was a cheap option for .223 mags that didnt require reworking 5.45's.
