[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Custom Serial #'s?

I need to choose a custom serial number for a DCI receiver. How do custom serial numbers work? Can they be repeated? Do you have to check for availability before choosing one? Is there a minimum number of characters? DCI says the max is 11. Do you have to use both letters AND numbers? Or can it just be letters? Can there be spaces? Someone tell us how this stuff works! Thanks.

When I did mine I used letters spaces and #.
OK I got an RPK rec and I used all 11 digits
Example: RPK VA ####
thats what I went with hope that helps

Do you have to put the model in the serial number like that? Or did you just decide to? Can it just be a random word?

I have built two yugo AKs on their receivers. Just give Harlan the serial number of your kit. Thats all.

I decided to put the model of the gun then the serial #
Email him and ask he is usually fast to reply
