I have this terrible facination with taking my hard earned money and dumping it into projects that are hardly worth it.  I would like to do a AK in some sort of wildcat thinking of 7.62x39 necked down to  .???  .   So it wouldnt need a good barrel just "decent" parts to work.

I thought about that but the grendel case would be a pain to feed.  I was thinking about using the 6.5 bullet but simply renecking the current case.    The 6mm ppc is based loosely off the 7.62x39 so it wouldnt be that much of a stretch (or shrink) to go from the 311 to the .264.  Or even to .284 (split the difference).  I have a lathe so what I really need is a test tool.
