Ya'll know the up and down play that underfolders get in the stock when it is extended? The play that just comes from normal use on an older rifle. Is there any method of tightening up that play in the stock, or is it just normal wear on the receiver with no quick fix available? It is no big deal really, just curious if there was a way of fixing the play that does not involve any serious effort. |

Fixing it will take rewelding the alignment notches the folder snaps into place when folded and unfolded. I handled approx 20 new in the crate captured Chinese underfolders when I was in Panama in 1989. Have were rock solid and the other half had maybe 1/8" to 1/4' play at the end of the stock set. It does not take much looseness at the trunnion for it to be exagerated at the buttstock end since it is on a arch. Hootbro |
