I just received my M92 parts set and ordered an OOW receiver through a FFL holder.

As soon as I get the receiver (for the serial number) I'm going to start the form 1 fun for an SBR build.

How much work can be done before the form 1 comes back approved? I know parts can't be put in the receiver, but can the old receiver pieces be cut off the trunion? Can holes be drilled?

build it into a pistol till it comes back then cut the holes for the uf

my guesses would be one of the following:

1. do the pistol route

2. install a fake can for now

3. totally complete build except for pressing the barrel in
