Anyone In The ANCHORAGE area???
ANCHORAGE ALASKA!!! BOWL AREA? new to this town and have no gun building friends. Have:some experience, and minimal tools like a drill, dremel, tool box, taps, mapp torch, parkerizing and bluing kits but have access to press, drill press, vise, wire feed/ tig welder/torch set, and a cesna float plane(for those good shooting/hunting trips)hIve built many with flats and prebends all with screws, would like a rivet build. email me |

Another Marylander.....jsut starting. i have my first tapco flat and waiting for my parts kit. i am going to try rivets for the most part except the front trunions where i will try and use bolts so i can avoid taking the barrel out and headpsacing.

I'm in Houston and me and my son have a Romy we want to start on but I have a lack of equipment.
I have plenty of handtools but no presses and such. I have never done a build but sure I can do it with a little help. I would love to work with anyone willing. |

I don't know if you are willing to drive up to DFW, but we have a build scheduled for next weekend (two weekends from now). There is a stickied thread in Build it Yourself called DFW build party, get the info there. |

Anyone near the Fredericktown, OH area? Ive never built a kit AK and was looking for some hands on help and advise for my PSL build. My main know everything about all guns buddy has done everything but build an AK.

drill press 12 ton press trigger guard rivet jig Plinker-type rivet jig die grinder angle grinder bench grinder bench sander air hammer compressor sandblast cabinet vise Parts washer MIG welder gas welder punches, files, other small tools headspace gauges (762 and 545) 10 inch lathe and my favorite aminal - the BRIDGEPORT mill Bring beeer and beef and we'll have a build party ! Location: South East Ohio angle/bench/drimmel grinder 12 ton press drill press vise assorted taps/dies trigger guard jig 24inch bolt cutter rivet tool assorted hand tools/punches barrel press (on order should have by 2nd week Oct) New plinkers jig for long and short rivets (on order should have by 2nd week Oct) go/no-go gauges ( need when i get funds, soon i hope) No garage but small 12x16 shed I have been working out of. Just started AK builds myself, but have reasonable knowledge. Wont build it for you but happy to help. |

i live in central ky will be able to spare some time after first of the year to help still new but going to do at least 3 builds with a bud in va so my experience level will improve greatly have already built one

Hello everyone.
I'm In SE michigan near toledo and detroit. I have never done a build but I used to work in tool and die so I think I can hack it. I would like to find someone close to me or even a group who wants to have a build get together. I have no parts yet, but I have the following tools (at my house) 2 lathes horizontal mill linley percision jig boring machine (doubles as a vert mill) surface grinder od grinder bench grinder angle grinder die grinder bead blaster drill press percision measuring equipment of all kinds hand drill small hand torch spot welder 185 amp lincoln AC/DC tig welder abrasive chop saw sheet metal tools slip roll wood lathe polishing lathe air compressor air tools hand tools lets get this party started!! michigan/ anyone within an hour or so of ann arbor please give a shout. |

I just finished demilling a Bulgy 74 kit. I am looking for help bending a flat and doing the rivet work. The barrel came out fine with the tips I got here. Thanks to all for the info that got me this far. I have all my US compliance parts lined up. |

Seriously, if there are any SLC types with tools or who wants to go in on a few, let me know. It's not like I need a seriously modified pair of 18" bolt cutters every day. I could stand to loan them out once in a while. 12-ton press is what I need--and someone who can weld. I never learned (very well). (Only took a single class in junior high. 
)
